Print Clever Global Integration

In This Guide

Order Desk can submit your print on demand orders to Print Clever Global. As orders are fulfilled, the shipment info will automatically be pulled back into Order Desk and sent back to the original shopping cart.

Setup

To connect to Print Clever Global, click on Manage Integrations in the left sidebar. Under the Print on Demand tab, find and click to enable the Print Clever Global integration.

Alternatively, search for Print Clever Global from the available integrations search.

Enter your Print Clever Global credentials, then click to connect:

Please note that Order Desk isn’t able to help find or reset your credentials, as they can only be provided by Print Clever Global.

Integration Settings

Once connected, you will have a few settings where you can set your preferences for this integration.

Default Mail Class

Choose the mail class you want Print Clever Global to use for orders.

If you need to apply specific methods for certain orders, match your method names to their names in the Shipping Class Match section below.

After Import, Move To

Select the folder you want orders to be moved into after they are sent to Print Clever Global.

If you want to use a custom folder, create your own from Store Settings. See the Working with Folders guide for more information.

After Shipment, Move To

Select the folder you want orders to be moved into when Print Clever Global sends shipment details back into Order Desk.

Product Settings

Shipping Class Match

If the shipping methods you set up in your shopping cart(s) don’t match the shipping method names Print Clever Global uses, they won’t know what methods you intend for them to use. When this happens, the default mail class applied above will be used instead for all of your orders.

To tell Print Clever Global what methods you want them to use, you will need to match your method names to theirs. This can be done in the shipping class match section. For detailed instructions on setting this up, please read through the shipping class match guide.

Sending Orders to Print Clever Global

Preparing Your Items

You can send your items for printing at Print Clever Global in one of two ways:

1. Pre-saved Items

If you’ve already set up your products in Print Clever Global and added designs to them, go to the integration settings page in Order Desk and click View Available Custom Products:

Find your product on the next page and copy the Reference URL:

Set that URL as a VariantID metadata or variation on your order item in Order Desk. This tells Print Clever Global which item to print and ship.

2. Non-Pre-saved Items

For items that don’t already exist in Print Clever Global with artwork defined, you can set the following fields as variations or item metadata for each order item.

print_skuPrint Clever Global’s product code/SKU for the item.
print_url_xLink to your artwork file so Print Clever Global can print it. Supports print_url_1 through 5.
print_location_xSet the location of the print on the product. Supports print_location_1 through 5.
print_preview_xLink to a preview of the artwork. Supports print_preview_1 through 5.
ExternalSkuReplaces the product item code with an external line item identifier.
